If you're looking for a business

  • Anytime you display a page, the search box is ready to look for businesses. On the home page, you'll find a search box that looks like this in the middle of the page.


    Just make sure the menu on the right reads "Business Finder," as it does in the example above. Then type in a word that describes what type of businesses you'd like find.
  • Another search box also appears at the top of every page. Here's an example of someone preparing to look for a pizza restaurant:

    To find a business that carries a particular product -- such as paper, pizza or shoes -- type in the name of the product and click the "Go" button.

  • To see a lists of businesses in a town, just type in the name of the town (such as Pomona or Wellsville) and click "Go."
  • To see a list of types of businesses, type in a business category like restaurant, autos or church.
  • If you are looking for a particular business and know the name, type in part of the business' name.
  • Once you are in a particular store, you can search by product category or name for a list of products available in that store.

If you're looking for a particular product

  • You can do a "quick search" by clicking on a category name it the top of the left hand column of the home page. That will produce a list of all products from all stores for sale in that category.


  • To narrow your search, you can use the search box at the top of the page. Just select the term "All Product Categories" or one of the product categories in the drop-down menu. Then type in the product you're looking for, click "Go" and you'll see a list of all products in the selected category from all stores for sale.

General search tips

  • All searches look for the exact characters you type. If your search is unsuccessful, try typing less or typing a different search term.

    • Example: "church" instead of "churches."
    • Example: "grocery" instead of "grocery store" or try "groceries."

  • Check for typos and spelling problems.
  • Be sure the drop-down menu reflects the type of search you are conducting:
  • "Business Finder" is for searching for businesses.
  • "All Product Categories" or any of the other specific categories help you look for specific products, regardless of the store that carries them.
